The Quest for use able functional power armour for military use.

Exo-Dynamics is convinced such powered suits of armour that offer massive protection with a load carrying capability will be the future.. in one form or another and we intend on finding that form.

Composite Full Body Armour design

The Armour is designed to provide as much coverage of the human body as possible while being practical and use able. between the hard armour plates and soft armour, coverage will be around 95% of the human body.

Carbon Fiber

Exo - Skeleton

the Backbone of the suit is a carbon fiber skeleton that supports the Armour and power system. this is also in a constant state of development to make it fit better, be easier to put on and of course increase durability

Composite armour

The armour consists of layers of ceramic bonded in to 3d printed plastic shells, with a kevlar backing plate. this, using regular porcelain ceramics produced in the UK stops 5.56mm at 25yds. this ensures with high quality synthetic ballistic ceramics fitted in the future, the level of protection will be much higher.

Constant development.

The suit is constantly being developed and experimented with, whether thats building a new helmet that is lighter with greater protection and comfort or experimenting with powered gauntlets. The aim is to refine and build the most useful functional suit of powered armour possible.

Power Systems

The power systems currently being developed are modular in nature to allow different sized battery packs to be used depending on the situation. This modularity also allows a micro generator to be fitted creating a hybrid system if required.

Both electronic and pneumatic actuators are being developed to limit large supply chain requirements and to protect against future electronic warfare threats.

Built in the UK

A key design constraint is to be able to effectively build the suit in the the UK with minimal international supply chains that can cause production problems in the future
